I barely write in this blog these days. It’s just the busy task of everyday going to school or doing what I have to do that prevented me on updating this. I just decided to attach one of my own sketches. I really didn’t know what came to me that I drew that one. If I remember it correctly I was trying to draw a chef using a charcoal pencil.

It’s been a few weeks if not months since I posted something here. I really forgot about this site for quite a while now. With all the things that I’ve been doing lately and all the misadventures that crossed my path, I just didn’t have much time to keep up with updating this blog.

Lately, My thesis buddies and I were in a big shit hole. We already had like four proposals accepted and rejected. There was this one thesis topic that almost made it to the end but thanks to the shitty circumstances, we have to start all over again with a new topic that is. We finished three chapters with the last thesis topic until its mortality expired on us leaving us helpless to do it from the beginning again not to mention the limited time left for us to work on it.

I constantly found myself in this state of accumulating stress from June up to now because of this research paper. Knowing myself and knowing the traces of Homo Erectus genetic imprint in my system; I need a diversion from all these. If not, I’ll always be on a state of spanish temper sporadic firing.

That’s when I decided to join the Judo Club for the College of Nursing for the purpose of therapeutically tapering my time bomb moments.I really thought that at least it would be legal to throw someone and not feel bad about it later on.I tagged along with a few buddies. Really big dudes from my class, one is also a thesis buddy who’s in the same shit hole as I am.

A week already passed since the destruction of Ricky “The Hitman” Hatton, thanks to the dynamite left and right combination of Manny Pacquiao; I am just so happy as a fight fan seeing how the fight ended up. Being a fan of the sport since a little child, you just know it when someone is just a one hit wonder or one of a kind. In Manny’s case, you just see someone who has the right tools for a fast paced boxing match.

I love classic matches. How nice it was to be a boxing fan back then. In the present tense, I can’t remember how boxing would look if not for a Manny Pacquiao, Juan Manuel Marquez, Ricky Hatton, and the rest of the lighter guys who manned up to fill the void of the heavyweight division. It was way different back then. I remember my grandfather telling me that he once knew someone from Angola who crossed the border of Congo to watch Ali and Foreman square it off. The surprising thing is that the entrance was free! What a way to pumo a crowd up. ALI BOMAYE!

A good match would really cost your wallet some bucks nowadays. The Pacquiao-Hatton East vs West match accumulated more than 100million pesos in revenues on all around the Philippines. I watched my first taste of Manny payperview on the Pacquiao-Morales II. After so many fights, I was already hooked on watching it live. Either via the internet or the cinema, I just want it live with no interuption. It just breaks the mood of the fight when you mix redundant advertising to your pugilistic craving.

For a couple of weeks now, I’ve done more than watching pugilistic actions but rather started training like one. I have spent days in the Elorde gym in Shaw throwing some jabs, cross, straight uppercuts with a whole lot of dancing and a whole lot of sweating. After doing some warm up, two rounds of skip rope, two rounds of double end bag, two rounds of speed bag, two rounds of heavy bag, two rounds wall bag, three rounds of punch mitts and whole lot of plyometrics exercises. At first I was struggling with form carrying only brute as I hit the mitts, the bag or whatever it is to hit. After a couple of sessions, I am getting the hang of it from form to stamina. Though still not fit even for a four round chaos, at least I am having some improvement.

Having the form to go to a sparring session is what I want to have. A few weeks more, or months, who knows. Until then, I will be stacking the rounds to make me meet that bell.

Even as kids, my brother and I shared lots of things together. For one, we shared the same room even to the very day. The good thing about that is we got to share our reading materials. I being only two years the elder than him makes everything good and workable between us two. I started buying comics as a kid. When I buy my comics its just like saying he’s got a free comic book. For years I stopped buying comic books but my brother never stopped reading them. He got them for whatever means he does. The bottom line, he gets all these ultra cool complete series from DC to Vertigo to even the independent graphic novels.

I got so hooked on this Joker issue. The story was set on a Gotham City right when Joker left it when he got inside the insane asylum. The story progressed as a Joker found a way to be released from the asylum and Oh shit every page was just so good. It made you wanna say “WHY SO SERIOUS!”.

I am planning to run for Barangay Chair with that trademark sign. LOL
